Our Selection of the Most Striking Products
There's no week like CES. Nearly the entire tech industry converges on Las Vegas to give the world a glimpse of the inventions and ideas that could define the year. More surprising, exciting, and often absurd new ideas emerge in a single day at CES than in many other weeks of the year.
It's a lot to keep track of — but it's also extremely fun. The team at Plaything was on the ground in Nevada testing the most unusual products we could find. We discovered things we love, concepts that intrigue us, and others that are simply fun to look at.
But at the end of the day, some gadgets and ideas resonated with us more than others. Whether they brilliantly executed their concept, introduced an ingenious new idea, or simply captured our enthusiasm, these are the products we can't stop talking about. Here's our pick of the best products of CES 2025.
Best TV: Panasonic Z95B OLED

Most years, it would be a given that LG or Samsung would have the most impressive TV at CES. And indeed, the LG G5 and Samsung S95F promise to be stunning models for 2025. We've clearly entered the era of the "brightness wars" in the OLED TV market. Every year, LG Display and Samsung Display push their limits with screens that are suitable for any environment and make HDR content stand out like never before.
However, for CES 2025, it is the Panasonic Z95B OLED that caught our attention. After a long absence from the US market, Panasonic is back to reclaim its crown. Like the G5, it uses a new four-layer tandem OLED display that improves brightness, but without the micro-lens technology touted by LG Display for the past two years. It also includes an impressive Dolby Atmos sound system (tuned by Technics), often eliminating the need for a soundbar.
It's a shame that Panasonic's TVs use Fire TV OS, but compared to the sometimes intrusive AI gadgets from Samsung and LG, plugging an Apple TV into the Z95B to get around this doesn't seem so bad.

Best Wearable Product: Rokid Glasses

Smart glasses have dominated the wearables industry this year. Among them all, Rokid glasses stand out by answering a simple question: “What if Ray-Ban Meta glasses had a screen?”
Their discreet, micro-etched, and nearly invisible front-facing display uses a monochrome green light for better visibility in daylight. It's not sci-fi augmented reality yet, but a simple head-up display is surprisingly useful: real-time translation, a teleprompter function for presentations, and a viewfinder to frame your photos.
Although other brands, such as Halliday and Even Realities, presented similar models, the Rokid glasses had the largest and most functional screen. It's a practical and accessible approach that could appeal even to non-techies.
