Capcom and watch maker AVI-8 have collaborated to release a pair of special edition watches based on the 1942 arcade game.
Released in 1984, the Capcom arcade game was one of the most popular examples of the vertically scrolling shoot 'em up genre of the time.
The game was later ported to the NES, where it sold over a million copies.
The new watch is called AVI-8 X Capcom 1942 Flyboy Automatic Limited Edition and comes in two models.
The Blue Ace Edition costs $365 / £348 and has a stainless steel band with a blue nylon strap.
The Blace Ace Edition, slightly more expensive, costs €385 and consists of a black stainless steel bracelet and a black nylon strap.
Each color is limited to 300 pieces, after which there will be no further production.
Both models feature a small sprite of the protagonist's plane from 1942 attached to the second hand.
"Each watch features impressive features, combined with an attention to detail that showcases the watch and the 1942 game world, with a commitment to design unlike any other timepiece you've ever owned," reads AVI-8's promotional material.
Last month, Capcom launched Capcom Town, a new website celebrating the company's 40th anniversary.
Billed by Capcom as "the ultimate digital tourist destination," Capcom Town will be regularly updated with new features.
At launch, the site already includes a number of sections, including a section Retro games, a museum, a "Merch Factory" where players can download Capcom-themed Twitter icons, and pages dedicated to Capcom's CEO and COO, which chronicle the company's history.
The Museum section features over 500 pieces of artwork, design documents, and video and music selections from several Capcom series, including Monster Hunter, Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Mega Man, Devil May Cry, Ace Attorney and Ghosts 'n Goblins.
