Obi-Wan Kenobi Series: One Very Short Season
Let’s not lie to ourselves. While we are impatiently waiting season 2 of the series The Mandalorian, we have high hopes for the other Star Wars series that will be posted on Disney +. We even become almost curious at the idea of seeing the Han Solo character series. But, the one that probably makes us the most impatient, is the one on the character of Obi-Wan Kenobi, with the return of Ewan McGregor in his role. same Hayden christensen could reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker. But, the result could ultimately prove to be frustrating for fans due to the format of the series.
Obi-Wan Kenobi, a movie turned into a series?
It was Kathleen Kennedy, the producer of the series who ate the commission in an interview with The Wap. Indeed, she speaks of "the limit Obi-Wan Kenobi series". An expression that describes a mini-series and therefore a format probably restricted to a single season.
To make matters worse, a few months ago, when she decided to change the series in depth, the producer, had already reduced the format of the series from 6 to 4 episodes. If we are based on the model of The Mandalorian, that makes us 4 episodes of 30 to 40 minutes. If you remember your math lessons in elementary school, you end up with plus or minus 2 hours. Either as if we had in the end a film cut into four parts. Considering that the original project around Obi-Wan Kenobi was a spin-off film, it's hard not to find this surprising coincidence. We will have to wait until 2021 to find out more.
As a reminder, the story will take place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. A time when Obi-Wan Kenobi fled the nascent Empire by taking refuge on Tatooine with Luke.
