Schoolbags and backpacks

Choosing the right schoolbag

A good schoolbag should be large enough to hold a binder or large-format notebook, sturdy enough to last all year, and comfortable to carry. For elementary school, look for a padded back, wide, adjustable shoulder straps, and several compartments to keep pencil cases, notebooks, and snacks separate.

A rolling backpack to ease the strain on your back

A rolling school backpack can be carried on your back or pulled like a small suitcase. It's the ideal solution when the journey is long or the books are heavy. A schoolbag is often recommended to weigh no more than 10% of a child's body weight: wheels help lighten the load.

Waterproof for rainy days

This waterproof elementary school backpack for girls protects notebooks and homework from showers on the way to school. Its colorful design appeals to children, who love carrying it.

For sports fans

The black and gold football backpack goes with your child to school and to practice. A bag that reflects their passion and that they'll be proud to show their friends.

Adjusting the schoolbag correctly

The top of the schoolbag should reach shoulder level, and the bottom should not hang below the hips. Tighten both shoulder straps so the bag sits close to the back, and pack the heaviest items against the back.
